Kibri Loaders
These two Kibri loaders are plastic kits. Nice kits and lots of delicate moving parts. Kibri kits are available from www.truckstopmodels.com or www.walthers.com The price for the kits are a little in the steep range, especially when compared to Athearn or First Gear. I painted the wear areas and gave them some weathering.

Atlas Ford Pickup
The Atlas Ford F-150 (www.atlasrr.com) is a great plastic model. the model required some minor detail paint. I added a push bar and the tool box from River Point Station. The chevrons and conspicuous striping are Micro Scale and A-line respectfully. Watch for future posting of this vehicle, as I am not done with it.

Herpa International
Herpa International tractor/wrecker. The first thing you may notice missing from this unit is the fender mounted turn indicators. I have misplaced (lost) them. I am waiting for them to appear from some where on my workbench. Here is a run down of the items I added; cab protector and front bumper from Dennis Aust, mirrors are A-Line, Frame steps are Plano, red marker lights on the cab protector are Lonestar, frame decking from Kibri, warning light is Herpa and the fifth wheel wrecker is from Trident.

Trident Ford
This Trident Ford 250 received some detail painting. The stock wheels/tires were replaced with a set from River PointStation. The arrow board was constructed from spare plastic. I am not completely satisfied with the arrow board , and will be replaced or I will try another approach utilizing a River Point Station Ford. Other added parts include a warning light from Details West ( www.detailswest.com), striping, traffic cone, sand bags and a fuel can.

Busch American LaFrance
Busch American LaFrance. I am about 98% complete with this unit. If you compare the earlier model to this pictures you will fine that I added more detail. I changed the wheels by adding Ralph Ratcliffe (www.ralphratcliffemodels.com) cast wheel/tires, fire equipment (Q2 siren, Pike Pole, SCBA). If you model Mack trucks or fire apparatus, his website is a must to visit. I used Sheepscott headlights mounted in the front for warning lights by adding MV red lenses. I replaced the ladder with Alloy Forms (www.scale-structures.com) and a Alloy Forms airhorn. The wipers are from A-line.

Athearn Kenworth
Athearn Kenworth; I am pleased with the completion of this model. I recently purchased and tried my hand at using an airbrush to paint. I am still leaning and so far the results are OK. The sleeper was removed, a Dennis Aust cab protector added, along with two fuel tanks, which I airbrushed with AlcladChrome. Other miscellaneous parts I also added including Bumper Markers from Plano Models (www.planomodelproducts.com).

My Daughter’s Models
This is my 4 year old daughter’s models, she has abut a dozen. She took the picture herself and has her own work area next to me. Yes she is supervised by me as she pretends to detail her vehicles. She enjoys working in the garage on 1:1 vehicles with her “pappy”.
